Installation and Setup 

The R/3 Accounting Interface is installed as part of the standard R/3 System. No special actions are required during installation.

To activate the R/3 Accounting Interface:

  1. The workload statistics on the application servers must be active.
  2. SAP delivers the R/3 System pre-configured with active statistics.

    This is indicated by the instance profile parameter " stat/level = 1 " for the application systems in question.

  3. You must schedule the job COLLECTOR_FOR_PERFORMANCEMONITOR hourly to execute the report RSCOLL00 .
  4. From the main R/3 menu, select Tools ® Administration ® Jobs ® Job definition. Alternatively use transaction code SM36 .

    The job can also be called SAP_COLLECTOR_FOR_PERFMONITOR (see R/3 Note 16083). You must maintain table TCOLL as described in R/3 Note 12103. Use transaction code SM31 to maintain tables.

  5. You must have maintained user master records.

Users must be assigned to accounts. If a user is not assigned to an account, that user is managed under the account " No account ".

Statistics Retention Time

Statistics data is available as daily, weekly or monthly statistics. The user can decide how long the statistics are retained in the database. You can set the data retention time from the CCMS Workload Monitor. At least the last 2 periods are available in the standard system.

To change the statistics retention time:

  1. From the main R/3 menu, select Tools ® Administration ® Monitor ® Performance ® Workload ® Analysis
  2. The Performance Workload Analysis of SAP System screen is displayed.

  3. Now select Goto ® Parameters ® Performance database

You can change the retention times in the box Residence times of statistical data (for all servers).
