Assigning an Instance Definition to an Operation Mode

Use

Instances are created during R/3 System installation. Assigning instance definitions to an operation mode has no effect on the instances, directories and profiles that you create using the installation programs.

Prerequisites

You can only assign instance definitions to an operation mode after you have defined an operation mode.

Procedure

  1. From the R/3 main menu, choose Tools ® CCMS, Configuration ® Operation modes/instances.
  2. Alternatively, call Transaction RZ04.

  3. Choose Instances/OP modes.

The system displays all instances of productive operation modes.

The instance definitions of the operation mode are listed for each host with information on batch process (BP), batch process class A (BPA), Spool, Update (V1, V2), Enqueue and the name of the instance profile.

You can also display the instance definitions with their respective profiles. Select Instances/Profiles.
