Definition
This is the area of HR Funds and Position Management where an organizational structure is defined and managed.
Use
You can map your organizational structure in an "organization." To do this, you define organizational units and positions, and show the hierarchical relationships that exist between them. You the user define if any (and, if so, how many) areas of your organization are to be mapped in an organizational structure.
In HR Funds and Position Management, you can link the positions defined in the organizational structure with the employees who hold these positions (HR view) and budget structure elements for personnel expenditures (overall budget view). This helps make the tasks and structure of your organization more transparent.
The Employee function enables you to access HR Funds and Position Management from an employee-based perspective. This allows you to see all the relationships that exist between an employee and the budget structure elements that are used to finance him or her as well as the positions that he or she holds.
Structure
An organization is defined by linking together several individual hierarchies. These hierarchies are formed by creating relationships between specific organizational objects. This enables you to map the organizational structure of your company in all its complexity.
