The reference number (synonym: debit position ID) for Real Estate documents uniquely classifies automatic postings of the IS-RE component.

The documents created during automatic postings receive an identification in the Reference number field.

Use

Reference numbers make it easier to locate Real Estate-specific documents using the Real Estate posting log.

The reference number indication (debit position ID) consists of:

A number range set in Real Estate Customizing in which automatic posting runs are counted (8-digit)
Business year (4-digit)
Description defined in Real Estate Customizing of the posting procedure (4-digit procedure code)
