Communication Methods for External Companies 

Prerequisites

You require authorization for the following transaction:

Procedure

  1. Select Administration ® External companies
    This displays the maintenance screen.
  2. Select Address ® Create and enter the required data.
  3. By selecting Communication, you can maintain the various communication methods (e.g. fax, paging, Internet, X.400, RML for R/2 or R/3). Several numbers or addresses can be maintained for each communication method. One of these addresses or numbers must be defined as the standard.
  4. Define one communication method as the standard communication method.
  5. Save your entries.

Result

You can specify the company as an address on the send screen. The standard communication method is used. If you specify another communication method and several addresses or numbers are maintained for this method, the address or number specified as the standard is used.
