Address Management

The addresses required for the operation of SAPoffice are stored and maintained in address management. On the one hand, there are the address specifications required for external transmission (to mail recipients outside the relevant SAPoffice), for example X.400 addresses or Internet addresses. On the other, internal users (within the relevant SAPoffice) also have an address in address management. The address of the internal users is needed for the recipient search on the send screen and for sender specifications in the case of external transmission. The address of an internal user is generated automatically when the SAP user is created, together with the SAPoffice information.

The addresses are subdivided into company addresses and private addresses. Private addresses are always assigned to a company address.

Company addresses include information about names and addresses, search terms and communication methods.

Private addresses contain, for example, the name and department, search terms, the company address and communication methods.w
