Inbound Distribution

Use

Inbound distribution involves specifying an internal address to which a document should be forwarded, regardless of the recipient and/or the sender address. You can specify, for example, that all fax messages from a customer should be forwarded to a general distribution list in the R/3 System.

Integration

Incoming messages in the R/3 System can sent to the intended recipient in two ways:

- Users in the R/3 System

- Distribution lists

- BOR objects (application objects with the RECEIVE method - work items or IDocs)

- Organizational units

The inbound distribution function can only be implemented for incoming documents which are sent from outside the R/3 System. Internal documents cannot be forwarded using this function.
