Sending Externally (Without Address Management)

Use

SAPoffice users can send documents externally without using address management. This special case when sending externally can apply when using the following services:

If you want to send documents externally using an address from address management, proceed as described in Sending a Document.

SAPoffice ensures that documents to be sent externally via telematic services are placed in the spool file and that documents to be sent externally via X.400 and to other SAP systems are placed in a separate queue. Communication is controlled by the SAPcomm interface or SAPconnect. SAPoffice sends documents to Internet addresses via the Internet mail gateway.

You can adapt the fax and telex forms from system administration to the requirements of your company.

If an LDAP service is connected, you can use the service to search for recipients and copy the names to the send screen.

Prerequisites

Sending documents externally is only possible if the respective authorization is assigned in the SAP user master and the private office settings. In addition, an internal company address must be maintained in the office settings.
