Use

You can send documents and object folders from your inbox, outbox or private folders and also reply to documents. From your inbox, you can also forward documents to other users. You can send copies of documents which are stored in shared folders.

Folders and distribution lists cannot be sent.

There are different ways of sending documents:

When you send documents internally, the documents are sent to SAPoffice users in the same system.

When you send documents externally, the documents are sent to non-SAPoffice users or SAPoffice users in another SAP system. You can enter external addresses either directly on the send screen or use addresses stored in address management.

Authorizations are required for sending documents both internally and externally. Administrators can find the relevant information in Authorization Objects.

SAPoffice ensures that documents to be sent externally via the telematic services are placed in the spool and the documents to be sent externally via X:400 and to other SAP systems are placed in a separate queue. The actual communication is handled by the SAP communications server SAPcomm or SAPconnect. For more information, see the SAPcomm and SAPconnect documentation.

SAPoffice sends documents to Internet addresses via the SAP Internet Gateway.

For information about using an X.500 directory, please refer to the SAP LDAP Gateway documentation.
