Working with Folders 

Use

Folders can be used to organize and manage documents in your private folders and to publicize information within your company in shared folders.

The following functions are available for folders:

You can configure how the contents of your private folders are displayed. SAP delivers a standard configuration which can only be changed by administrators. You can, however, define your own configurations and therefore determine how the folders are displayed. Some of the information can be displayed via graphical symbols. You can display an explanation of the symbols used by selecting Goto ® Key. For more information on this topic, see Folder Configurations

In the list of folder contents, information can be sorted by column by positioning the cursor on the title of the column to be sorted and selecting Edit ® Sort ascending or Sort descending

Activities

The folder structure can be changed by moving folders. When a folder is moved, the contents (including all subfolders) are also moved.

You can change the folder contents by changing the existing documents in the folder (e.g. with the move or delete functions) or creating new documents.
