Attachments to a Document 

Use

To store or send documents with similar contents, one document can be appended to the other as an attachment.

The PR department of a company sends a press release to the Executive Board to be checked. The relevant pictures are appended to the document as an attachment. As the press release is also to appear on the company homepage on the Internet, a link to the web server which hosts the web site is also to be included.

Features

Attachments are documents which are appended to SAP editor documents (type RAW) or SAPscript documents (type SCR). Attachments can be any type of PC document or even SAP editor or SAPscript documents. You cannot define attachments for attachments.

The Create attachment function enables you to append attachments to new or existing RAW or SCR documents. The following attachments can be created:

By working with Copy, Move or Create link combined with Document selection, you can append existing SAPoffice documents (or attachments) to other documents in SAPoffice.

If you use Copy, Move or Create link for attachments and do not choose Document selection, SAPoffice documents will be generated rather than attachments.
