Creating a Document 

  1. Select Document ® Create ® New or With reference (if you wish to use a copy of an existing document as a reference for the new document).
  2. Enter a title for the document.
  3. Enter a type for the document.
  4. The subsequent steps vary according to the document type.

    Creating a PC Document

    Enter the corresponding file extension as the type (e.g. DOC for WinWord documents).

    If you wish to create a SAPoffice document from an existing PC document, select the Import function.

    Creating a Default Document

    As a prerequisite for this function, a scanner and an archiving system must be connected to your system.

    To create a document of type ARC, the scan dialog must be started and the scanned image displayed and selected.

    Creating a Document with Execution Parameters

    Create a document of type RAW and select Goto ® Exec. parameters to create an execution parameter for the document.

    Creating an Image Document

    Default documents are created by the administrator.

    Existing default documents can be displayed by selecting Administration ® Default documents.

  5. If you do not wish to create the document in the current folder, select a target folder.
  6. Create the document and save your data.

If the PC application states that the file cannot be created because it does not conform to the format of the application, you can proceed as follows:

Create the document in the PC application and upload the file using the Import function in SAPoffice. Or contact your system administrator. The administrator can create a default document for the relevant application.
