Checking the DB System in the DBA Planning Calendar (Informix) 

Use

You can use the DBA Planning Calendar in the Computing Center Management System (CCMS) to schedule database system checks against your Informix database. These check the configuration and performance of the database.

Prerequisites

For more information about scheduling an action (for example, check DB system) in the DBA Planning Calendar, see Scheduling Actions in the DBA Planning Calendar.

Checks that you schedule from the DBA Planning Calendar are executed as follows:

That is, you cannot specify that only certain checks are executed for a given run.

Procedure

  1. Choose Tools ® CCMS ® DB Administration ® DBA Planning Calendar.
  2. Choose the day when you want the statistics to be updated.
  3. Choose Create action.
  4. Select Database Configuration Check.
  5. Enter data as required in the fields Start Time, Period (weeks), and Calendar. For more information, see Scheduling Actions in the DBA Planning Calendar.
  6. Choose Continue.

Result

The check is now scheduled. It will be executed at the scheduled date and time, using the settings current at execution time. For more information about looking at the results, see Checking the Results of Actions in the DBA Planning Calendar.
