Initiating a Call

Follow the procedure below if you do not want to initiate a call directly from an application. Individual solutions are provided in the applications for initiating calls (for example, by clicking the telephone symbol).

Procedure

  1. From the SAPoffice initial screen (System ® Services ® Office), select Administration ® SAPphone ® Settings (extended)
  2. Under Outgoing calls, select Dial
  3. Enter the required telephone number and the country indicator.
  4. A list of the last ten dialed telephone numbers is displayed, from which you can select one of the numbers.

  5. Confirm your entries.

Result

The specified telephone number is transferred to the telephony system, which creates the telephone connection.

Now use the telephone. From the dialog box containing the caller data, you can execute various functions, e.g. enter a note or call a list of tasks via an application, from which you can choose a task to be processed.

The connection can be terminated by hanging up the receiver or by the End call function. In contrast, the Leave function will not affect the telephone connection because this function refers only to current connection between the telephone system and R/3.
