Creating and Maintaining Work Centers 

Prerequisites

The telephony server to be assigned to the work center must already exist.

A SAPphone work center can only be created for the work center on which the procedure was carried out, so that the SAPphone work center ID can be stored locally on the work center. You can still create the work center settings centrally and send them to the work center users. Users then only have to enter their telephone number.

To use the fast entry function, you require authorization for central maintenance.

Procedure

Simplified individual creation by the user

  1. From the SAPoffice initial screen (System ® Services ® Office), select Administration ® SAPphone ® Own settings
  2. Use the value help to select an area code and enter your extension number.
  3. Confirm your entries.
  4. Individual creation and maintenance by the user

  5. From the SAPoffice initial screen (System ® Services ® Office), select Administration ® SAPphone ® Settings (extended)
  6. Select Work center.
  7. Specify / change:
  1. Confirm your entries.

When you create a new work center, a SAPphone work center ID is generated and stored locally on the work center.

Central maintenance using fast entry

From the SAPphone administration screen, select Utilities ® Work center list (fast entry)

From the next screen, you can restrict the number of entries in the list of work centers to be maintained.

  1. Select Execute.
  2. A table in which you can maintain or delete work center settings is displayed.

  3. Confirm your entries.
