Creating and Maintaining the Telephony Server 

Use

A telephony server must be created and activated to allow communication between R/3 and the telephone system.

Features

SAPphone administration offers a view of all the available telephony servers in one client. The display is in the form of a hierarchical structure in which the assigned work centers are shown below the corresponding telephony servers. You can define which information about the telephony servers is displayed.

When creating new telephony servers, a wizard is available to guide you through the process. Existing telephony servers can be changed, renamed or copied.

Activities

Access the SAPphone administration initial screen. The following functions are available:

Description

Create server

Enter the required properties of the telephony server.

Before the telephony server can be used, a connection test must be carried out.

Display/Change/Delete/Copy/ Rename server

Select a server and execute the required function.

View:

  • Number of work centers
  • Canonical numbers
  • Local servers
  • RFC destinations
  • Location
  • Number prefix

The status of the telephony servers in relation to the called property is displayed.
