Maintaining Reference Points in the Activities 

  1. On the SAP R/3 screen choose Logistics/Accounting ® Project management ® Operative structures and then Network ® Create or Change .
  2. Choose Goto ® Activity overview.
  3. Select the required activity and double-click on the activity number to access the activity detail screen.
  4. Enter the reference point in the field you have chosen as the entry field for the reference point
  5. Proceed to the next activity or return to the activity overview.
  6. Save the network.

· You must use capital letters for alphanumerical values.

· The reference point in the BOM must be identical with the reference point in the BOM - generic entries are permissible.

· The value of a reference point within a project must be unique. Do not enter the same value for a reference point in more than one network activity in a project.

The third user field USR02 on the User fields tab page on the activity detail screen is defined as the entry field for the reference point. Enter a reference point in this field. If you have, for instance, used the reference point A1 in the BOM item, you can use A1 or A* here.
