Editing Material Allocations in Standard Networks 

Use

Use this procedure to display material allocations to standard networks and to edit the allocated BOM.

Procedure

  1. There are the following options for displaying and editing allocations to standard networks.

- To display all allocations for a standard network, on the header or in the activity overview choose Goto ® Comp.overview netwk.

The Change Standard Network: Material Allocation screen appears, on which all BOM components are listed. If a component is allocated to an activity, the activity number is listed in one of the columns.

- To display the allocations for individual activities, select the relevant activities in the activity overview and choose Activity ® Component overview.

The Change Standard Network: Material Allocation screen appears with all the components for the activity. If you have selected several activities, you can move between the individual activities by using the arrow buttons.

To access the detail screen for a component from one of these overviews, select the component and choose Details ® Component ® General or Administrative data.
  1. To reassign components, select the components on the Change Standard Network: Material Allocation screen and choose Edit ® Reassign.

    2. A dialog box appears in which you can enter an activity to reassign the component or you call up a list of activities and select one. To allocate the component to this activity, choose Choose.

  2. To delete allocations, select the components on the Change Standard Network: Material Allocation screen and choose Edit ® Delete.

    3. When you confirm the deletion, the allocation of the material component to the activity is deleted. The system still displays the component in the component overview for the standard network.

  3. To allocate BOM components that have not yet been allocated or to additionally allocate a component to another component, select the components and choose Edit ® Reassign. This function is only available on the component overview for the whole standard network.
  4. To edit the allocated BOM, in the component overview choose Goto ® Bill of Material ® Edit BOM.

The BOM item overview appears. You can now change or delete BOM items or create new BOM items.

When you return to the component overview, the changes are displayed. If you are in the component overview for an activity, all new BOM items are automatically allocated to the activity.
