SAPphone Server: Installation 

Purpose

To facilitate communication between the telephony software and SAPphone via TAPI, you should install and configure the SAPphone server.

Prerequisites

The following programs must be present before the SAPphone server can be installed:

Description

  1. Installing the SAPphone server

Copy the file sapphone.exe from the presentation CD to any local directory.

Copy the file librfc32.dll into the C:\WINNT\SYSTEM32 directory.

  1. Testing the SAPphone server

The following functions are available under the Test menu option:

  • Testing the connection to the TAPI service provider (displaying incoming calls, initiating outgoing calls, terminating a connection)
  • Testing the connection to R/3 (initiating a call from R/3, receiving incoming calls)

Result

The SAPphone server is installed. You can now test the functions. You can obtain an overview of the system status from the SAPphone server initial screen. More information can be found in the log file. You can find the name of the current log file by selecting Logging ® Name of current log file. In addition, the error messages can be collected by selecting Logging ® Collect error entries.
