Create Activity Group/Profile and Assign Users

In this section, you can create authorization profiles with the profile generator and assign them to users.

The step-by-step procedure is as follows:

1. You can create an activity group by specifying a name and selecting transactions for which you would like to maintain the necessary authorizations.

2. The system automatically determines the authorization objects appropriate to the transactions and produces authorizations whose individual fields you maintain. You can then generate an authorization profile which can then be assigned to users. With the "User compare" function, you can have the system automatically enter the profiles into each of the appropriate user master records.

Note

Ensure that you are also able to use manually created authorization profiles or those delivered by SAP. For this, you can create an activity group without a menu and transfer the appropriate profile into your authorization data.
