The Test Workbench uses a new hierarchy data store.
The application hierarchy can be used as navigation interface. The assignment of test catalogs to components is a virtual application hierarchy enhancement. The test cases in the test catalog are automatically assigned to components.
The test plan is an independent object based on one or more test catalogs. It has its own attributes. Changes to the test catalog used do not automatically affect the test plan. Test catalogs and test plans can be compared and adjusted.
The test package is a view of a test plan with its own attributes. When a test plan changes, test packages which depend on it must be regenerated, so that the test plan changes are visible in the test package.
The status of a test case can be freely defined and grouped semantically. The status functionality is enhanced. You can use a test case repeatedly in a test package and assign a status each time.
The test case status can be freely defined and given a semantic meaning in the Test Workbench customizing settings.
An SAPoffice link can also be defined in the customizing settings. The local SAPoffice or another can be used.
