R/3 internet application components for finding documents 

Description

As of this release, you can search for documents in the DMS using the internet application component. This function allows external users to access certain documents directly.

The search function is based on the internet transaction server and takes place user-specifically for certain document types and chosen fields.

• You define a field group for each document type. This contains the following fields:

• Selection fields - to limit the document search

• Display fields - to display the documents in the hit list

• You can display original application files in the hit list.

Each user is allocated to a field group so that

• the document search can take place user-specifically for chosen document types and according to document data that you have chosen

• only the document data that interests a user is displayed in the hit list

Change system parameters in customizing

Customizing for the document management system has been enhanced by steps for the internet application component.
