Calculation of Consumption-Dependent Service Charges
Purpose
Consumption-dependent apportionment factor
By means of the meter you enter the consumption-dependent apportionment factors for the service charge settlement (electricity, water consumption, and so on).
Creating meters
You create meters within the master data of the rental units for the consumption dependent service charge key thus assigning the counters to a rental unit. You use measuring points, measuring point types, measurement positions, and characteristics to determine the location and the function of a meter.

Measuring point: 98
Measurement position: Basement 2
Measuring point type: Consumption measurement
Characteristic: Cold water consumption
Enter meter reading
You enter the meter readings;meter reading differences are automatically calculated from the measurement documents.
By means of list entries (all meters for a rental unit) resp. collective entries (all meters, for example, for a business entity), you can document meter readings.
Result
The service charge settlement calculates the consumer-dependent service charges of the rental units using the service charge key and the apportionment factor and transfers the costs accordingly to the tenant.

You may also create meters for buildings. However these meter readings will not be taken into account for the service charge settlement!

For information on meters, refer to the documentation of the Plant Maintenance component: Measuring points and meters.
