Editing Rental Unit: Changing Usage Type 

As long as a rental unit does not have an active rental agreement, you can change the usage type of the rental unit as you like.

The usage type of a rental unit with an active rental agreement can only be changed if this usage type belongs to the same internal usage type (setting in Real Estate Customizing).
  1. Choose Edit ® Change usage type.
  2. Change the usage type in the dialog box.

If you change the usage type of the rental unit later, it can happen that the screens to be maintained and/or the allowed area types change when you edit the rental unit. The system then deletes the data maintained under the previous usage type after issuing a confirmation prompt.

Even if you cancel the change again, the deleted data no longer exists.
  1. Press ENTER .
  2. Save the rental unit.

You are asked to maintain the data required because of the change.
