Editing Rental Units: Apportionment Units

The apportionment unit and apportionment factor determine how service charges are apportioned to the tenants using settlement units. You can change them time-dependently.

Settlement units (with corresponding service charge keys and apportionment units ) have to correspond with the condition types as well as the apportionment units of the rental units and rental agreements.

Otherwise it is not possible to carry out a proper service charge settlement.

1. To define the apportionment unit and factor, choose the Apportionment units tab.

If you have linked area types to an apportionment unit in Real Estate Customizing and also maintained these areas in the rental unit (Areas function), these are displayed here. You can only change them when editing the areas.

  1. Maintain the apportionment units and apportionment factors for the rental unit.
  2. Specify the date from which the apportionment factor is used for the service charge settlement.
  3. Enter the apportionment factor and press ENTER .
