Editing Rental Units: Areas

The area type is used to identify the usage of the rental unit areas. You can assign the areas time-dependently.

You can only edit area types that are linked with apportionment units in Real Estate Customizing if their valid-from date lies further in the future than the date of the last service charge settlement.

1. To define the area types of the rental unit, choose the Area function.

2. Enter the area type.

In general, leave the Valid from field empty. Enter a date only in one of the following cases:

When the area size changes due to remeasurement
When the distribution of the available area between the rental units changes

Enter the area size in the Area field and press ENTER .

Whenever you change a reference area you are asked whether the condition amount is also to be updated. You can also adjust the amounts later via bulk processing ( Adjustment Method: Area Change ).
