Administration of Teaching Hours 

Use

This function is particularly useful in institutions such as universities, where mandatory teaching hours have to be managed.

You can use the Administration of Teaching Hours function to manage mandatory teaching hours for persons (e.g. lecturers). In other words, you can compare the teaching obligations that a person must fulfill with the teaching hours actually scheduled for the person in question.

Prerequisites

You must have made the appropriate settings in Customizing (step: Organization ® Set up administration of teaching hours).

Process Flow

  1. You define teaching hours for a position. The teaching hours you define specify the number of hours per week the holder of this position must teach.
  2. The system proposes a value for the number of hours per week.
  3. You can accept this proposed value, or change it.
  4. The system transfers the number of teaching hours you defined for the position to the holder of this position.
  5. You can display and print out the teaching hours defined in an organizational structure.
