The Court Orders component allows you to operate and process court orders held against particular employees.

If you receive notification from the court or local authority that deductions are to be made from an employee's earnings, you can create a Court Order record for them. On the basis of the information it contains, the Court Orders component will perform the following:

• Make the correct deductions from an employee's pay
• Automatically ensure that arrears, protected earnings, and arrears of protected earnings are processed correctly
• Automatically stop making deductions when the total has been reached
• Make the payments by bank transfer or cheque
• Make the payments through CAPS (Centralization of attachment of earnings orders payment system), if required
• Perform priority sequencing of court orders in accordance with government guidelines
