Changing PAYE Details for an Employee on Strike 

As tax refunds are withheld from employees who are on strike, you must ensure that you change their PAYE details for any period of strike action.

Procedure

  1. Choose Human resources ® Personnel management ® Administration, then Maintain master data.
  2. The Maintain HR Master Data screen appears.

  3. In the Personnel number field, enter the employee’s personnel number.
  4. Access the Tax Data (infotype 0065) record by entering the infotype name or number in the Infotype field.
  5. Choose Copy.
  6. The Copy Tax Data GB screen appears.

  7. In the From field, change the date to the date on which the strike action commenced.
  8. Set the On strike indicator.
  9. Save your entries.
  10. A message appears informing you that the end date of the previous record will be delimited.

  11. Choose Enter.

Result

Any tax refund due to the employee is withheld until you create a new record when the employee resumes work.
