Define control parameters for goods movements
In this step, you define the control parameters for the automatic
posting of goods movements at plant level. You have to define the following parameters:
- movement type for the goods issue
- movement type for the goods receipt
- goods receipts strategy for headers
You specify that, when creating goods receipts for subordinate assemblies, goods issues are posted for the same assemblies
if reservations exist from production orders of higher-level assemblies.
- storage location for linking versions
You specify the storage location in which completed assemblies are to be stored in the case of linking versions.
- backflush strategy for run schedule headers
You specify that when the last operation, which is defined as a milestone, has been confirmed, goods receipt is posted for the
confirmed assembly.
Recommendation
If you did not define new movement types, you should not change the
standard movement types for the goods issue (261) and goods receipt (101).
Actions
1. Check the movement types for goods issue and goods receipt.
2. Specify a goods receipts strategy, if necessary.
3. Specify the receiving warehouse location for linking versions.
4. Specify a backflush strategy, if necessary.
