Sequencing

Sequencing is a significant part of production planning for the configured finished products in customer-orientated flow and repetitive manufacturing (for example, in the automotive and computer industries).

The sequencing results of the finished product provide the basis for providing components and for calculating specific delivery times. In sequencing, the order sequence for the finished product is displayed graphically for an assembly line. The exact line load is displayed per line. The orders are assigned to a time stream which is folded so that as many orders can be view on one screen as possible. Colors indicate the current status of the orders or the assembly location where the orders are currently situated.
