Make global settings
In this step, you make the general settings for Repetitive Manufacturing.
You define the parameters for the planning table:
- The selection period that determines the number of days for the period of examination when accessing the planning table.
- The view selection that determines which planning table view is
automatically selected on the initial screen, for example selection by material or by production line.
- The definition of the start date of the planned orders in the planning
table, for example the start date is to correspond to the beginning of the period.
- Whether the planned orders or the run schedule quantities are displayed
in the individual periods on the basis of the basic dates or the production dates.
- The scheduling strategy, that specifies whether the system is to carry out forward or backward scheduling.
You also define:
- Which period the system is to take into account when updating the statistics of the planning figures.
- Whether the planned order number or the run schedule header number is displayed in backflushing.
- Which rows are displayed in the planning table and whether date from
long-term planning is also to be displayed in the planning table as additional information.
You can also save most of these settings per user directly in the planning table.
