Calculating Takt Times
To calculate takt times, proceed as follows:
The system displays the initial screen for calculating the takt time.
– Plant
– Header line of the line hierarchy
– Month in which the takt time is to be calculated
The system reads the requirements of the selected month and calculates the following data:
– Using the default value (20 days) for the number of workdays per month, the system calculates the average daily requirements according to the requirements determined. This value is copied to the Planned daily production field.
The calculation is based on the following formula:
Sum of all requirements in the selected month
Number of workdays in the month
– The maximum daily requirement displays the highest requirement in the selected month.
– The system uses the planned daily production and the default value for the work hours per day (8 hours) to calculate the Takt time.
The calculation is based on the following formula:
Workhours per day (if necessary, converted to minutes)
Planned daily production
– The Planned monthly production displays the sum of the planned daily production and the number of workdays.
– The Planned production rate displays the production quantity that can be produced per hour with the calculated takt time.
The calculation is based on the following formula:
Planned daily production quantity
Number of workhours
– The Saved takt time is the takt time that was saved after the previous calculation or in the takt time table.
In the lower section of the screen, the system displays the requirements of the selected material and the pegged materials.
– You can change the number of workdays per month.
– You can change the number of workhours per day.
– You can increase the planned daily production.
– You can change the takt time.
Change one or more of these parameters and then choose
Enter .The system displays the newly calculated values.
Result
The system calculates the takt time for the takt areas of the selected production line in the selected period.
