Takt Times / Takt Areas
Use
On the one hand, the takt time is the time required to produce one product unit which is calculated so that the flow system achieves the target output. The takt time is also the time that a material is retained for processing in a takt area of the production line.
The takt area is a section of the production line in which the takt time is valid. Every processing station can represent one takt area or you can also define several takt areas for one processing station.
In takt production, all the processing stations of a production line usually have the same takt time for carrying out the operations. After release 4.0A, you will also be able to define different takt times for one production line.
To achieve the optimum use of the production line, you should make sure that the
Work Content has been set realistically for the takt time calculated.Integration
You define the takt time in the main Line Design menu.
You define the takt areas for the processing stations at the lowest level of a
Line Hierarchy which are then added together to define the total number of takt areas at the header line level.Features
