Creating Production Versions with a Reference

Prerequisites

When you create a material master record specifying a reference material and reference plant, the system proposes the production version data of the reference material. However, this requires the Reference indicator to be set for field MARC_MKAL. This indicator is already set in the standard R/3 System. In Customizing for the Material Master, you can check whether it is set in the activity Assign fields to field selection groups.

Procedure

  1. On the MRP or Work Scheduling data screen, choose Versions.

    2. The Production Version Overview dialog box appears.

  2. Change the data as required and save your changes.
