This saves you having to enter these values or select the fields again and again.

By setting an indicator, you can also define that certain fields are hidden each time you create a material master record. The fields only reappear if you cancel this indicator or call up the data direct.

If you frequently assign materials to the same industry sector, you may find it useful to predefine the industry sector in the system.

If you always require the same views when processing material master records, you may find it useful for them to be selected by default in the Select View(s) dialog box.
