You have the business function Recipe Development 2 on PLM Web UI
(/PLMU/RCP_2
)
With this function, you can synchronize a general (PLM) recipe to a PP-PI master recipe. For more information, see Synchronizing a Recipe with a Master Recipe.
With this function, you can download the data of one or several objects (recipes or specifications). For more information, see Download Data.
For recipes, see Download of Recipe Data.
For specifications, see Download of Specification Data.
With this function, you can create process, stage, operation, action, and equipment requirement building blocks that can later be used in recipes. For more information, see Building Blocks.
With this function, you can group any type of objects (recipes, specifications, building blocks, and so on.) and access them easily. For more information, see Object Sets.
All the messages during a user session are collected and can be reviewed.
With this business function, you can use the following new functions for recipes:
New nutrient loss calculation (see Process Loss and Storage Loss)
This new calculation uses item-level loss calculation. For understanding the difference between the two nutrient loss calculations, see SAP Note 1829406.
Recipe import
Recipes can now be imported fully or partially into another recipe on the Process
tab.
Recipe archiving (see Recipe Archiving)
This is a function to archive obsolete recipes and remove them from the database.
Long text for process parameters
Parameters for equipment requirements (in recipe and in building block)
Drag and drop rearrangement of process elements
Process elements are renumbered automatically.
Object set integration
The new object set functionality is integrated into the Formula
tab so objects can be easily added to the formula.
Manual price calculation (see the Costs
chapter in Calculations)
On the Formula
tab, you can manually enter the price for input items and calculate an estimate without saving the data into the database.
Manual composition adjustment for reactions (see Manual Composition)
If a stage output or the primary output has an appropriate component type, then on the Composition
tab of that output's detailed view you can manually adjust the composition. This means that you can add new components or modify the amount of existing ones, depending on the recipe type and the component type.
New calculation modes (see Calculation Modes)
Total solids calculation
If you choose this calculation mode to formulate the recipe, you can calculate the total solids mass from bottom to top in the whole recipe.
Evaporation and absorption calculation
It can happen that water or a different substance in a formula is evaporated or absorbed, and thus the quantity of the inputs does not exactly match the quantity of the outputs. This is represented with the balancing item: it shows in percent how much substance is evaporated (negative value) or absorbed (positive value). With the Evaporation/Absorption with Total Solids
or Evaporation/Absorption
calculation modes, you can calculate this balancing item with or without total solids.
Support for property specification in calculations
If the primary output of an explosion recipe has the appropriate component type set in Customizing, then the calculation values are taken from its property specification instead of its primary output specification during explosion. This can be set for a component type in Customizing activity
.Single-field recipe input
Allows easier recipe access with one input field for recipe keys (depends on Customizing settings).
Easy stage creation
Change document handling for recipes
Document attachment after release, translation after release (both depend on Customizing settings)
With this business function, you can use the following new functions for specifications:
Mass change for specifications
With this new function, you can change the header data, the identifier, the status, or the material assignment for several recipes within a simple view.
Handling of obsolete phrases
The system warns you when you try to use phrases with Obsolete
status
Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) upload (see Uploading MSDS Documents)
This function is available with an integrated virus scan.
Status and action management for specifications, see Header Status for Specifications
You can now set the header status for specifications.
Note
This functionality uses Status and Action Management 2.0, which means that it is not the same status handling for recipes or labeling.
There is also a mass status change report, which is a useful tool to set initial status for existing specifications, but it can also be used for other status changes.
See the Customizing activities under
.Information button for properties
When selecting a property on the Properties
tab, there is a new button that informs the user about the property.
Search in property tree
You can now perform search through properties.
Long text support for multivalue dialog
When selecting properties with multiple value possibility, the long texts can be displayed or hidden.
Process route integration (see section Process Route
in Specification Management)
With this business function, you can use the following new functions for labeling:
The new loss calculation (see the Functional Enhancements for Recipes
chapter) can be taken into account in labeling (depends on Customizing settings)
WWI support
Document assignment at label set header
Authorization management for labeling
With this business function, you can now decide to use compliance check without EH&S Expert server. This functionality means that you do not need an external server for the compliance check, instead it takes place on the same system where the Recipe Development application runs. For more information, see Compliance Check in Recipe Development.
The operating mode can be set in Customizing activity
.Note
The functionality of the compliance check without EH&S Expert server is not equivalent to the functionality of the compliance check with EH&S Expert server.
For further features available with this business function, see composite SAP Note 1943198.
