SAP Easy Document Management supports the Single Sign-On (SSO) mechanisms provided by the SAP NetWeaver. Therefore, the security recommendations and guidelines for user administration and authentication as described in the SAP NetWeaver Application Server Security Guide also apply to SAP Easy Document Management.

SAP Logon Tickets

SAP Easy Document Management supports the use of logon tickets for SSO when using a Web browser as the frontend client. SAP Easy Document Management provides PLM Web User Interface integration for certain SAP PLM Document Management transactions. Logon tickets are provided to prevent multiple logons to the same system.

To enable the SAP logon tickets, set the following parameters:

  • Set profile parameter login/create_sso2_ticket to value 2

  • Set profile parameter login/accept_sso2_ticket to value 1
