Authorizations for Product-Centric View (PCV)

The Product-Centric View (PCV) application uses the authorization provided by the SAP NetWeaver Application Server ABAP. Therefore, the recommendations and guidelines for authorizations as described in the SAP NetWeaver Application Server ABAP Security Guide also apply to PCV.

The SAP NetWeaver authorization concept is based on assigning authorizations to users based on roles. For role maintenance, use the Profile Maintenance screen (transaction PFCG) on the Application Server ABAP and the Portal Content Studio in the Portal.

Standard Roles

The table below shows the standard roles that are used by the application.

Note Note

For auditing purposes, you can use the PLM PCV User (SAP_PLMWUI_PCV_USER) role. This role does not allow the user to change queries.
