Creating Reservation Objects 

Use

You can use this function to create new reservation objects or to update existing reservation objects. To limit the architectural objects from which the system generates reservation objects, you can use the following filter criteria:

●      ID of the architectural object

●      An area of validity (with or without considering the object hierarchy)

●      A reservation area

●      A person responsible

You can specify whether the system creates new reservation objects, updates existing objects, or both.

Integration

To have objects for room reservations and continuous occupancy, you have to run this program once after you activate the functions for room reservations or continuous occupancy. If you create additional architectural objects later, the system automatically generates reservation objects for them.

However, you must execute this function after any changes to the related Customizing settings.

Prerequisites

You made all the Customizing settings described in Room Reservations and Long-Term Seating Arrangements.

Activities

To create or update reservation objects, on the SAP Easy Accessscreen, choose Accounting ® Flexible Real Estate Management ® Room Reservations and Long-Term Seating Arrangements ® Generate/Update Reservation Objects. Run the program, first in simulation mode and then in update mode.

If you make changes in Customizing after creating reservation objects, then run the Generate/Update Reservation Objects program again to update your reservation objects.

We recommend that you run this program at regular intervals.
