Object documentation Philippines PhilHealth infotype (0596)  Locate the document in its SAP Library structure

Definition

Employee PhilHealth information consists of data used in payroll to process PhilHealth contributions paid by the employer and employee in each payroll period. Your employees’ PhilHealth details are maintained in the PhilHealth Philippines infotype (0596).

Use

For PhilHealth contributions to be processed by the payroll program, you must enter data for each employee in the PhilHealth Philippines infotype (0596).

Note

Employees who do not have a record after July 1 1999 are rejected during the payroll run.

For new employees, you can create records in the PhilHealth Philippines infotype (0596) through a hiring action. If your employees’ PhilHealth details change, you can create new PhilHealth records in master data by delimiting the old records and entering a new validity period for the new records.

Structure

The PhilHealth Philippines infotype enables you to maintain:

·        Employee PhilHealth numbers

The PhilHealth number must be entered in the SAP System for inclusion on the PhilHealth contribution report RF-1 sent to the Philippines Health Insurance Corporation.

You enter the number in a 12-digit field. For employees who have not yet been allocated a PhilHealth number, the SAP System displays their 10/11-digit Social Security System (SSS) number on the Employer Quarterly Remittance Report RF-1.

·        Employee PhilHealth exemption flag

This determines whether an employee is exempt from paying PhilHealth contributions or whether contributions should be calculated during payroll.

Integration

Before you maintain records in the PhilHealth Philippines infotype (0596), project teams must configure the PhilHealth (NHIP) section of Customizing for Payroll Philippines.

If changes are made to the PhilHealth Philippines infotype (0596) after payroll has been processed and exited, the SAP System triggers a retroactive run for the period for which the data was changed. Differences calculated during the retroactive run are then reported in the subsequent payroll period.
