Editing Participation ID

Use

Use this function to assign a time-dependent participation ID to rental units (for more information, see Example: Settlement Unit and Participation ID).

Note You can edit a participation ID centrally by choosing:

Accounting ® Real Estate Management ® Master Data ® SCS Infrastructure ® Participation ID ® Maintain

Accounting ® Real Estate Management ® Service Charge Settlement ® SCS Infrastructure ® Participation ID ® Maintain

Prerequisites

You can only change assignments for time periods in which no settlement unit using the participation ID has yet been settled.

Procedure

Create participation IDs

Before you assign a unique name to the participation ID, note the following:

If you want	Then
The participation ID to be effective only for a limited period	Enter the time period in the Valid fields
The participation ID to be effective without limitation to a certain time period	Leave the Valid fields empty
The Valid fields specify the validity period of the participation ID, regardless of its assignment to settlement units.

When you create a new participation ID, the system issues a message telling you that the ID does not exist. Choose ENTER to assign rental units to the new participation ID.

In the Rental units/participation ID assignment group box, enter the required rental units.

If you want	Then
To assign several rental units to the participation ID at the same time	Choose Select RUs. Enter your selection criteria for selecting the rental units and choose Execute. Select the rental units you want in the list and choose Back.
To copy the assigned rental units from the existing participation IDs	Choose Copy from and enter the participation ID
To assign rental units to the participation ID for a limited period	Enter the period in the Valid from/Valid to fields
To assign rental units for an unlimited period, that is, for the validity period of the participation ID	Leave the Valid from/Valid to fields empty
To cancel the assignment of a rental unit	Position the cursor on the rental unit and choose Delete line

Editing participation IDs

Caution When you change a participation ID, this change is applicable to all settlement units that have been assigned this participation ID.

To assign an existing participation ID	Choose the participation ID using the input help
To edit an existing participation ID	Position the cursor on the ID and choose Choose
To cancel the assignment of a participation ID	Position the cursor on the ID and choose Delete assignment

Choose Back to return to the Create Settlement Unit: Assignment of Rental Units screen.

Evaluating participation IDs

Display an overview of the settlement units to which the current participation ID is assigned	Environment ® Use curr. ID in SUs
Display an overview of the participation IDs that are assigned to current rental units	Environment ® Use RU in IDs
Display an overview of the settlement units that have participation IDs assigned to current rental units	Environment ® Use RU in SUs Or, call the report from the Information System: Real Estate Management -> Information System -> Master Data/Contracts -> Master Data -> Master Data for Service Charge Settlement -> Use of Rental Units in Settlement Unit
