Using Forms in your applications

SAP Smart Forms is an easy, robust print form tool. This tool allows you to create and modify forms easily using a graphical design tool, and provides more robust functionality and color. You can use the preconfigured Smart Forms delivered by SAP Best Practices in various SAP Best Practices scenarios. Depending on your requirements, with some minor adaptations, these preconfigured Smart Forms can be ready to be used in your business.

In the Overview section, you find example printouts as pdfs for the preconfigured Smart Forms. This helps you to identify change requirements.

In the Where-Used list, you can see which Business Scenarios use which Smart Forms. Some Smart Forms are not currently used in any SAP Best Practices scenario. These Smart Forms can nonetheless be used as a reference for your own purpose.

The scenarios delivered with the SAP Best Practices Baseline package use Smart Forms whenever possible. For some areas, standard and preconfigured Smart Forms are not available; in these cases SAPscript forms are used (standard SAPscript forms, preconfigured SAPscript forms).

All forms used in the SAP Best Practices Baseline package (preconfigured Smart Forms, standard SAPscript forms, preconfigured SAPscript forms) are handled the same way during installation of the SAP Best Practices Baseline package: All of these forms are copied into the 'YB' namespace so you can adapt and use them easily.

In the Where-Used list, you also see detailed technical information on, for example, the delivered forms templates, print programs, and subroutines used.
