Activate SAP Best Practices Scenarios

The SAP Best Practices solution builder enables you to quickly and easily activate a complete SAP Best Practices package, or a few selected SAP Best Practices scenarios. Activation is a guided, step-by-step process that is easy to understand.

Activation procedure

To activate SAP Best Practices scenarios, process the following steps:

• Download the installation data files from the SAP Service Marketplace for a specific country and release. These files contain the configuration data. For details about the right installation data file, see the Quick Guide
• Download the related solution file from the SAP Note. This contains the business scenarios and building blocks
• Import the solution file into your SAP system using the solution builder
• Upload the installation data files into your SAP system using the solution builder
• Optional: Conduct Scoping (detailed selection of business scenarios)
• Optional: Personalize the enterprise structure
• Optional: Personalize additional settings
• Download the installation data files from the solution builder to your local folder
• Implement the scope

Documentation and Personalized Values

SAP Best Practices provide a feature to personalize values and settings, allowing you to meet your requirements. To run the business processes based on personalized values or settings, a list with the default values mapped with your values can be provided.

Manual Implementation

Most SAP Best Practices packages are delivered with both automated activation and guides for manual configuration. SAP Best Practices documentation and tools make both options possible.
