N70 – External Financial Accounting (Local)

Purpose

This building block provides evaluation, implementation, and support for the external accounting processes in mySAP ERP. Its purpose is to reduce the implementation effort and to meet the concrete requirements of your enterprise in the best possible manner. The Financial Accounting Germany building block can be integrated into existing system landscapes, and can also be used when setting up new systems. Business Configuration Sets containing the system settings for accounting processes are used. Complete documentation of the processes and preconfiguration also helps you to make the selections you need.

This building block provides the following new functionalities:

  • Activation of the new general ledger accounting, definition and derivation of segments and profit centers.
  • Document splitting splits up the documents according to selected characteristics (segments)
  • Integration with the FI subsidiary books and with Controlling (Real time integration CO => FI)
  • Reporting (use of the new FI searches, such as segment reporting and the new general ledger balances announcement)
  • Innovations in the Cash Journal

Key Points

This building block can be used by midsize enterprises operating on a national level, as well as by groups operating on a global level. The building block is based on German legislation, and is therefore recommended for usage in Germany.
This building block can be used as the basis for setting up integrated solutions. With the new general ledger you can extend the general ledger quickly and easily with user fields.
Profit Center Accounting is set up. This can be used as a basis for customer-specific enhancements.
