J02 – Organizational Structure

Purpose

This building block is structured into three main Business Configuration Set hierarchies: Common Organizational Structures, More Logistic Organizational Structures and Intercompany Organizational Structures. Each of these structures contains a number of BC Sets which, in turn, contain the settings required to set up and run an enterprise structure within an SAP Best Practices industry solution. When activated, a generic organizational structure is created in the system. Each BC Set contains parameters that can be overwritten, and either creates an organizational unit or assigns an organizational unit. The BC Sets can be reused to create further organizational units.

• Creation and assignment of all organizational units needed for SAP Best Practices installation
• Use of variable fields in the BC Sets supports implementation of own organizational data
• J02 provides a framework for an organizational structure. Additional data is implemented with the installation of further building blocks.
