Working with the ASAP Roadmap/Knowledge Corner

Purpose

The Implementation Assistant contains two tabs, the Implementation Roadmap and the Knowledge Corner. The Implementation Roadmap describes all the steps needed to implement SAP software, and the Knowledge Corner contains additional information on important subjects and links to SAPNet.

Both the Roadmap and the Knowledge Corner can be tailored to your individual implementation needs.

For more information on the Implementation Roadmap, see:

Elements of the Roadmap

Prerequisites

If you installed the standard R/3 Implementation Roadmap, you can select various other flavors if necessary. However, selecting a flavor means that specific roles and subject areas may be filtered out.

This help file references information that pertains primarily to the standard Implementation Roadmap. While other Roadmaps function similarly in nature, they can, for example, have a different Roadmap structure.

Process Flow

After the Implementation Assistant is installed, and scoping has been carried out by the project manager, individual users can set viewing options and filter by role, for example, if desired. It is also possible to change the names of Roadmap topics and linked documents you have added via the menu Edit ® Structure Item ® Attributes.

Changing Roadmap/KC Attributes

From the Implementation Assistant, you can branch to the Concept Check Tool and the Q&Adb to check and define your implementation scope.
