The button toolbar, located on top of the main screen, provides you with IA authoring and navigational functionality. Please note that some functions are also accessible by means of menu items.
- The Back and Forward buttons ( and ) allow you to navigate backwards and forwards in the structure. Please note that these buttons do not refer to the user navigation, as in a browser.

Depending on where your cursor is, you can expand all structure levels of a selected structure item.
- Collapse
()
Depending on where your cursor is, you can collapse the entire expanded structure levels of a selected structure item, or you can collapse all substructures of one selected lower-level structure item.
- Refresh
(, F5)
Choose this function to update the data displayed in the View area screen, if it is not in sync with the Project area display. You can also use the F5 function key to refresh the display.
- The Q&Adb (Question & Answer Database) button () launches the Q&Adb in a separate window.
- The Concept Check Tool button () launches the Concept Check Tool. This is a software tool you can use to analyze your planned implementation concept and critical factors in the Project Preparation, Business Blueprint, and Realization phases.
- The Print button (, Ctrl + P) prints the Roadmap text or Knowledge Corner texts currently selected in the content area. You can either print the text of a selected structure item or the structure item text and all subtopics. Accelerators must be printed separately after you call them up.
- The Filter dropdown menu () allows you to set specific viewing filters, namely by flavor, role, by subject area or by selected scope. This is helpful if, for example, if a person allocated to a specific role would like to see which Roadmap or Knowledge Corner tasks apply to this role.
Please note that if you click on the Filter button itself, you will be asked if you want to remove all filter settings you have made.
- Using the Print button ( Ctrl + P), you can define print criteria for Roadmap or Knowledge Corner texts currently selected in the Project Area. In the popup that appears when you click on Print, you can either print a specific topic, or topic and all its subtopics. Accelerators must be printed separately after being called up.
- The following three buttons enable you to display or hide the Holding area (), the Attachment area (), and the Project area ().
- The Help button () calls up this Help file.
