Compensation (ECM)
You can use the Compensation workset based on Enterprise Compensation Management (ECM).
The Compensation workset based on ECM contains functions with which managers can plan compensation for employees in their area of responsibility. The Compensation workset also allows a higher-level manager to check the compensation planning carried out by another lower-level manager, and to either approve or reject it.
The Compensation Planning (ECM) and Compensation Approval (ECM) use the functions of the Object and Data Provider. Additional iViews that are displayed on a separate portal page display employee data relevant for planning and compensation and support managers when they make decisions.
The functions of Enterprise Compensation Management (ECM) are available as of Business Package for Manager Self-Service 50.4.

Provider (OADP) in SAP R/3. You do this after you have implemented the
Plug-In system in your HR system in the settings for the Business Package

The workset comprises the following iViews:

· Compensation Guidelines (ECM)
We also recommend you include the following iViews from the Employee Review workset:
· Compensation Adjustments (ECM)
The Compensation workset based on ECM displays for the manager the employees in his or her area of responsibility together with the employee data relevant for planning and compensation. The manager can sort this data according to the necessary criteria. The workset facilitates planning by offering graphical comparison and summary views.
The Compensation Planning (ECM) iView enables the manager to plan employees’ monetary compensation (such as salary, regular bonus, and off-cycle bonus) and allocate stock options. The Compensation Approval (ECM) iView allows the approving manager to check compensation planned for employees and the allocation of stock options and bonuses and either approve or reject them.
The Compensation Adjustments (ECM) and Long-Term Incentives (ECM) iViews provide an overview of the salary increases, stock options or bonuses an employee has received in the past.
The Salary Data (ECM) and Salary Survey Results (ECM) iViews provide managers with an overview of the extent to which an employee’s salary corresponds to the internal salary guidelines and external market salary.
The Compensation Guidelines (ECM) and Compensation Eligibility (ECM) iViews support managers when they make decisions. They facilitate the decision-making process by displaying data relevant for compensation from Enterprise Compensation Management (ECM). The Compensation Guidelines (ECM) iView displays for an employee the guidelines that apply internally at the enterprise for the compensation plans within a compensation review. This includes default values for the compensation to be planned including the allowed minimum and maximum limits and the underlying guideline criteria (for example, appraisal results). The Compensation Eligibility (ECM) iView displays an employee’s eligibility for the various compensation plans within a compensation review and the eligibility criteria the employee fulfills or does not fulfill.
